Latin America is currently experiencing substantial growth in impact investing, according to two new studies that focus on social investment movements in Mexico and Colombia.

The research offers a detailed look at some of the key areas benefiting from impact investment in the regions, including the circular economy, which receives as much impact investment as health in Mexico.

Social investment is flowing from domestic sources, say the reports, as well as the US and a small percentage from Asian markets such as Taiwan.

The studies also highlight the steps governments can take to boost the supply of private capital delivering public good in the regions. And, the Mexico report notes the potential huge source of capital that could come from pension funds.
