While impact investing is experiencing fast and steady growth, providing an estimate of the maturity of a given impact investing ecosystem is crucial to inform market governance, inform policy marking and advocacy efforts, and act as a reference for investors willing to step into the impact economy.

To this end, the European Commission’s Joint Research Center (JRC), in partnership with Evolutiq impact, has been working on an Impact Investment Maturity Index (IIMX).
