Building an impact economy in every country

It is crucial to build the architecture of a new economic system that places social equity and environmental sustainability as its ultimate goal. The current paradigm needs to be replaced everywhere with a new one that reflects the interdependent political, economic, environmental, and social needs of today and tomorrow.

Most of the solutions exist, at all levels. In health, education, agriculture, climate, finance, policy, and more. They are already proven. We know what good looks like. We miss implementation, at scale and with urgency. It is time for action. 

That’s why, in each country, GSG’s National Partners implement policy changes and financial instruments that will allow for significantly more capital to be invested in opportunities contributing to achieving the SDGs.

In 2022 GSG Impact formed the SDG-Driven Tech Innovation Ecosystem consortium, alongside National Partners from Israel, France, Italy and Portugal.

In 2023 consortium partners mapped their own and other European SDG-driven ecosystems, looking at the public, private, and philanthropic actors, resources, and networks that are working to advance SDG-aligned technology.

The aim was to identify best practices and common barriers, for scaling technology for the SDGs domestically and internationally. The findings were published in October 2023 of including a set of recommendations and a mapping methodology for others wishing to undertake the same exercise in their country.
